Praveen K. Parashiva, Ph.D. is a highly skilled Sr. Data Scientist with a strong background in Biomedical Signals, Brain-Computer Interface, Image & Signal Processing. With over 6.78 years of relevant experience, he has worked on various research projects related to improving the performance of Motor Imagery based Brain-Computer Interface systems. Currently working at mfine, Praveen's primary responsibility is to develop and implement data-driven solutions that can help improve the healthcare industry. He is a Research Scientist with a deep understanding of OpenCV, Computer Vision, Python, ML, Tensorflow, Image Processing, Deep Learning, and Mobile technologies. Praveen's past experience includes working as a Research Scholar at IIT Palakkad where he focused on improving the performance of Motor Imagery based Brain-Computer Interface systems. He has also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, where he analyzed invasive EEG data collected from Epilepsy patients at the University of Bonn, Germany. Praveen holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Signals and a Master of Technology (MTech) in Control System from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from PESIT South Campus and an Intermediate degree from Karnataka State Pre-University Board.
